The best thing I have learned during my few years of school age parenting is that there is nothing more valuable than a loving teacher.

Kindergarten
A little over three years ago my husband and I walked our little Andrew to the bus stop for his very first day of elementary school. My heart fluttered as I watched his little legs climb up the stairs and get on that bus. I kept my composure and reassured myself he would be fine, after all, he had Mrs. Mossotti for his teacher.
I will never forget how warm and welcoming she was. From the our first encounter at Meet The Teacher night I knew we could trust her. She was confident and caring and I had heard amazing things about her. I knew she was going to be a very important person in our lives.

However, to be honest, that didn't stop me from following the bus to school and making sure that he got into the correct classroom. I also had to ensure that I had the photo evidence that he was going to be ok. :) She kindly obliged to let me take their picture and gave him a warm and welcoming hug on his first day.
That was the first of many times in which this amazing woman won me over.
There is something so special about someone who adores and loves your child as their own. She was patient yet direct, consistent, objective and she made him feel like a rockstar even on his most difficult days.
That year I took gift giving to the extreme. How do you thank someone for taking exceptional care of your pride and joy?
I started getting crafty and made all kinds of goodies for her.
Monograms, gift cards, handbags, anything I could think of to try and spoil her.
I always knew she didn't have any expectations for gifts or thank you cards. She does this job because she loves it. She loves the children in her classroom as her own. This is what makes her one of the great ones. She and so many others are the reason we should always Spoil Our Teachers.
Andrew has been very lucky to have some great teachers and supportive educators over the last few years. Every year I always challenge myself to think of special ways to thank them. This year there were a couple teachers I wanted to send a special Thank You to so I tried a few new things. Below are some examples of what I made so that you can recognize your teachers too.
